The Sound of Oranges

Process: 3D modeled and laser cut layers. Painted each layer with the two being inverse colors. Glued together with spacers.
Description: This piece forces you to explore how colors, texture, shadows, and materials create sound. It’s not about the literally sound of orange, but rather it’s about how the art creates sound through this piece. I challenge people to investigate how inverse shadows and highlights have different sounds as you compare the two sides. This piece is meant to facilitate conversation between viewers comparing your experience.
